NEW DUES POLICY
Our annual dues are a modest $8 per year for each retiree, or retiree and spouse. All of this money goes towards our mailing costs. Hence, no dues, no mail outs.
Several members are still not up to date with their 2011 dues. If you are in this category and have not paid yet, this will be your last UPDATE and ENCORE. You need to pay up by March 31 to stay on the mailing list.
As a special incentive to get you to pay up we are
offering a
discounted 5 year membership for $35 (effectively $7 per
year). This has two advantages: One, if dues go up
because of higher mail costs you will escape any
increase until as late as 2017. Two, you can forget
about trying to remember to pay them for the next 5
years !
This is ideal for those members with senior moments. And
it’s a better return than the stock market.
Note that this is optional. You can continue to pay the $8 each year if you prefer.
Many of our members join for multiple years anyway, so
this will give them an extra discount.
If you have already paid your 2012 dues and would like
to take advantage of this offer just send me the
difference ($27) and you are good through 2016.
If you have already paid for multiple years I will
extend your membership for another year at no additional
cost.
Please mail your checks in with the dues form found
later in this Newsletter.
You can celebrate by buying a coffee at Starbucks with
your savings !
